It is in Nantes, after having worked in the most prestigious restaurants in the country, that David Garrec and his wife Angélique decided to sail away and open up their own place, L’Océanide.
The décor of this establishment is definitely unique. It is a rather baroque mix of colours, mirrors and colourful paintings but the dining room will also strike you as being rather sober, with its elegantly set tables. Everything here subtly reminds you of the sea, the uncontested queen of this establishment where all kinds of blue are the dominating colours.
David’s talent and know how also promote the flavours of the sea, without a doubt. Our Chef is originally from Brittany, with a passion for gourmet cuisine and taught by the greatest, from Gagnaire to Boyer. He will introduce you to the pleasures of a varied cuisine with maritime inspirations using products from the region and sea food that are incredibly fresh. Every day, his inspiration is renewed at the market in Talensac; his imagination can run free there and quality products are right at hand. The result is a fresh and light kind of cuisine, original and certainly worth remembering.
